What Level Are You?

Peninsula Art School offers programs for students of all levels and abilities. In order to make the most of your time at the School, we suggest the following guidelines in selecting the appropriate workshop for your level of experience. All programs are listed at the minimum level of experience required. If you need help deciding if a workshop is right for you, please call our staff at 920.868.3455.

A Novice has no prior experience in a particular medium. A Beginner has some introductory experience in a particular medium (i.e. one or two workshops, classes, etc.) and is looking for basic knowledge of techniques and materials.

An Advanced Beginner has some experience with the medium, has some drawing or design skills and is looking for more instruction or a refresher on a specific medium or techniques.

An Intermediate participant is comfortable with techniques and tools of a particular medium and has knowledge of basic elements of design, composition, value and color. Student can work independently.

An Advanced participant is experienced, confident and competent working in the medium. Student is able to work independently, seeks creative challenge, artistic growth, and instructor/peer critiques.
